Have you ever wanted to write but didn't know where to start?
Or have you always jotted down your thoughts in notebooks and you would like to give them shape?
Or perhaps you are looking for a community of writers with whom to share your writing in a supportive and safe way?
Whether you are a beginner or just want a refresher, this workshop will guide you through some of the fundamentals of creative writing. Together we will explore different writing themes, genres, and techniques to boost your imagination. You don’t need to focus on writing fiction or nonfiction.The idea is to help you find the best way to express yourself or tell the story you always wanted to tell.
Creative writing is very useful to gain confidence in how you communicate your thoughts and a great way to improve your writing skills in general. It’s never too late to give it a try, come on in!

Teacher
Helena Grande is a writer, curator, and educator. She is the author of the flash fiction collection titled Speech Choke (2020). Her writing has appeared in Dostoyevsky Wannabe, Fictional Journal, nY, and diSONARE among others. helena holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School in New York and her work has received support from Het Cultuurfonds, Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst, The New School, and WriteOn NYC. She is currently working on a novel about belonging and loss.
