Leids historicus Bart van der Boom wint Libris Geschiedenis Prijs
De Universiteit Leiden feliciteert historicus Bart van der Boom, die met zijn boek Wij weten niets van hun lot. Gewone Nederlanders en de Holocaust de Libris Geschiedenis Prijs in ontvangst mocht nemen. De prijs werd zaterdag 27 oktober uitgereikt tijdens de Nacht van de Geschiedenis in Amsterdam.

Er komen steeds meer medicijnen die op specifieke kenmerken van een tumor gericht zijn. De toepassing van chemotherapie wordt nog steeds verbeterd.

In de toekomst kan een arts dementie wellicht veel eerder herkennen dan nu het geval is. Een computeralgoritme kan dan op basis van hersenscans voorspellen hoe ons geheugen zich gaat ontwikkelen.
