You will work a lot with Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, etc) and Canva, so prior knowledge of this software is preferred. In this role, you will be asked to give presentations from time to time, and to be the representative of LUC. Creating content and keeping track of social media is part of this position, so keep in mind that you will be using quite a lot of social media during this job. You will be the assistant of the recruitment, events, and communications officers, so there will be multiple smaller tasks that you will have to keep track of, and quite a few ad-hoc tasks. The ideal candidate is well-organized, flexible, enthusiastic about LUC and about completing a range of different tasks.
Contract
You will be hired for one full academic year. The start date is 12 August, 2024 and the contract ends after Intro week in the summer of 2025; 30 August, 2025. This function is for 0.5 FTE (18 hours per week), distributed over the week. These are flexible and can be arranged based on the requirements and wishes of the Recruitment and Communications office, and the academic schedule of the student assistant. In the Recruitment seasons (October - March) and around events such as Graduation and Intro Week the number of hours may be longer than stipulated above. These hours will then be counted as overtime and can be compensated in the other months throughout the year.
The student assistant will work in the DREAM team (Development, Recruitment, Events, Admissions and Marketing), under the supervision of the Recruitment, Communication and Events officers.
Students with a non-EU nationality are also welcome to apply, however the maximum number of hours will be 16.
All applicants must have a valid Dutch health insurance.
The salary for this position is in scale SA4 and ranges from €14,95 - €15,68 per hour: these rates are based on academic year 2023/2024. We expect a slight increase for academic year 2024/2025.
