In the upcoming exam week in December the exams for Field Techniques and Material Studies 2 will take place in the Van Steenis building. Unlike the exams that are taken in the University Sports Centre, it is necessary to bring your own laptop (Windows and MacBook only; no tablets, Chromebooks or smartphones) for this exam. Power outlets will be available, but make sure to fully charge your device before the exam.

This requires you to download Safe Exam Browser software on your device prior to the exam, since a new feature has been added to reduce the risk of fraud. Included you find instructions for downloading and using the software.

It is important to download and test the software at home, well before the actual exam takes place. You can do so until and including Wednesday 14 December.

If you experience problems, need help or have any questions, Jasper Kanbier will be available to help you in Van Steenis/room A2.16 (2^nd floor), on Thursday 15 December from 9.00-16.00 hrs, and Friday 16 December, from 9.00-12.00 hrs.
Please make sure you have downloaded and successfully tested the software by Friday 16 December, otherwise you will not be able to take your ANS exam with your own device on campus.

If you do not have a (reliable) laptop, you can request to be seated in the computer room (onderwijs@arch.leidenuniv.nl), where a very limited number of seats is available.
