Awarding of diploma
Once you complete your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree you will be awarded your diploma during a celebratory graduation ceremony. Some study programmes also have ceremonies for the awarding of first-year (propedeuse) diplomas or other important achievements. The awarding of your diploma is always arranged by your faculty or study programme.
Graduation ceremonies are always arranged by your study programme or faculty.
Every year the Bachelor of International Studies organizes a Graduation Ceremony for their graduates. This is an exciting and festive event that we all look forward to!
If you want to graduate during the summer, please fill in the online graduation form before 1 June. If you want to graduate during the winter, fill in the form before December 15th. Please note: The administration only receives your graduation form after you have clicked the conformation link that is sent to your u-mail once you have submitted your form. If you have not received the link, check your spam folder.
When you meet all the diploma requirements and your graduation is approved, your diploma is printed and the administration sends you a personal invitation for the graduation ceremony. These invitations are usually sent in August, when all graduation forms have been processed. Each graduate will receive a personal invitation, which can only be sent out when all grades are officially registered and the graduation is certain. Therefore some students receive their invitations before others.
If possible, we try to organize the Graduation Ceremony on the Friday before the official opening of the new academic year. We strongly advise you not to make any arrangements/ bookings until you have received your personal invitation and your graduation is certain;
If you join the Graduation ceremony and there are no Corona restrictions, every graduate is allowed to bring max. 2 guests. Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions;
