Study adviser or coordinator

Your study adviser or coordinator is an expert on all aspects of your study programme. If you have any questions or concerns about your programme, whether they be of a practical or academic nature, you can contact your study adviser.

Academic issues

Are you experiencing academic difficulties? Or are you falling behind in your studies due to personal circumstances? If so, it is essential that you speak to your study adviser/coordinator as soon as possible. He or she can advise you on the best course of action and, if required, assist you in dealing with study delay.

Practical issues

You can also speak to your study adviser about a range of practical issues concerning your programme, such as:

  • Planning your studies
  • Schedule issues
  • Choosing elective credits
  • Requesting exemptions
  • Advice on internship

You can find the study adviser of your programme in the programme tab. If this does not appear, all contact persons per programme can also be found in the Study Programmes section of the organisational structure.

If you run into problems during your study, e.g. your graduation needs to be delayed due to (personal) circumstances, the study advisor will try and help you catch up, if necessary in consultation with the student counselor or other university staff. If difficulties arise, please contact the study advisor as soon as possible. Usually they will take the initiative to contact you if they notice there may be a reason to do so. Anything discussed with the study advisor is confidential (corresponding to the code of conduct of the national association of study advisors).
