Obtain an additional certificate in the Personal Professional Skills Lab (PPSL) during your Bachelors.
PPSL in short
The Personal Professional Skills Lab bundles the offerings of the student support departments at FSW. You can attend workshops, seminars and courses from the Career Service, POPCorner, the Honours College and the Personal Development Centre free of charge. If you attend a number of these workshops during your bachelor's, and register your learningprocess through reflection-questionnairs in the online system www.learningmyway.nl, you will receive the Personal Professional Skills Certificate.

- The Personal Professional Skills Certificate shows that you have built up personal and professional knowledge and skills in addition to the substantive subject knowledge of your bachelor's degree.
- The knowledge and skills you gain within the PPSL can help you be resilient and flexible in dealing with the challenges that come your way as a student, and later in life.
- The workshops and seminars within the PPSL are personal and engaging; here you can get to know your fellow students better, and share your stories.
- The workshops and seminars within the PPSL are playful and well-guided, you can learn to work with important and personal issues in a creative way.
How does it work?
Through the PPSL's Brightspace page, you can register at www.learningmyway.nl to start your online portfolio.
On the Brighspace page, you will also find the PPSL's programme with all the workshops and seminars you can register for in 2024/2025.
To obtain the certificate, you are expected to have attended a total of 6 meetings and described them in the online portfolio before the end of your bachelor (i.e., in 3 years time):
- The first meeting is called the 'Starter Module'. This meeting explores the meaning of personal and professional skills. All first year FSW-students are scheduled to attend this meeting in MyTimeTable.
- After that, you can choose whether you want to continue with the PPSL, and attend more workshops and seminars at your convenience in addition to your bachelor. The workshop offerings are on the PPSL Brightspace.
- The final meeting is a mandatory closing meeting to which you will receive an invitation.
The Personal Professional Skills Certificate is awarded together with your bachelor's degree.
What are the requirements for the certificate?
To receive the Personal Professional Skills Certificate additionally to your bachelor's degree, the following is expected from you:
- Participation & online reflection of the Starter Module (See MyTimeTable)
- Participation & online reflection of at least 4 self-selected workshops/seminars/courses of the PPSL (See BrightSpace)
- Participation & online reflection of the Final Module
