Application & admission

The LDE Space & Society Honours programme is open to motivated second- and third-year bachelor's students of Leiden University, TU Delft and Erasmus University. Additional requirements differ per university.

When can I apply?

Registration for the LDE Space & Society Honours Programme 2024-2025 is open from 2 September (9:00 hrs) until 6 October (22:00 hrs)

Admission requirements

  • You are a motivated second- or third-year bachelor's student at Leiden University, TU Delft or Erasmus University with affinity with the topic.
  • You are enrolled in a bachelor’s programme at one of the three universities for the entire duration of the programme. Students who graduate during the programme are not eligible to apply. 
  • You completed your first year (propedeuse) in 1 year.
  • Third-year students have obtained at least 45 EC from their second-year programme.
  • You have at least 7.5 GPA.

Please note:

  • This extracurricular programme cannot be a part of your regular bachelor programme's elective space. 
  • For TU Delft students in the Honours Programme Bachelor, it is possible to follow this programme instead of your ‘standard’ HPB faculty part of 15 EC. 

Admission

Selection will be based on motivation, affinity with the topic and GPA. Students will hear whether they have been selected no later than Friday 11 October 2024. 

Note: Should you be admitted to the programme, the Honours Academy of Leiden University will finalise your enrolment. Therefore, you do not need to register in OSIRIS or uSis.

No additional fees

There are no additional fees associated with attending honours education at Leiden University.
