  • Most sessions will take place during the Saturday Information Fair in Leiden and are open to all students.
  • A small number will also be repeated at Campus The Hague on different dates.

Are you interested in going on exchange outside of Europe and would you like to know your options? Leiden University’s International Programme Officers will tell you about your options for going abroad through one of the university’s exchange programmes. In this session we will guide you through what to expect and what to arrange for your stay abroad.

Budget during your time abroad: learn how to become financially resilient!

Going on exchange is an invaluable adventure but unfortunately, it isn’t free. Budgeting is a good way to get the most out of your exchange without missing beautiful experiences! This session informs you about making a budget for your exchange and helps you to plan financially for your experience abroad.

Tips and tricks on how to write a succesful motivation letter & CV

Presenting yourself clearly and effectively is an essential part of applying for work, an internship or a program abroad. In this workshop you will get a clear picture of how you can properly display your knowledge, skills and competences in your CV and in your motivation letter. In the workshop you will get many examples and practical tips. You will learn how recruiters and employers scan your CV, what they want to see in a motivation letter and how to show what you want them to see.

Should I stay or should I go? Doubts, hesitation, uncertainties, panel discussion           

Are you not sure whether an exchange experience is best suited for you? Come to this panel discussion to hear from both Leiden University staff and students about their experiences abroad and the hesitation and uncertainties they encountered in their decision-making process. Our panel members will answer your questions to clear your doubts and inform you to aid you in making your choice!
