How to implement good leadership? This is the central question posed during the inspiration seminars of the LLP, in which renowned guest speakers share their insights. A seminar at the beginning of May imparts this message: “Keep listening to one another.”

The Leiden Leadership Centre brings academia and practice together by organising events on public leadership – such as Leiden Leadership Lunches, webinars, (international) conferences, and the Leiden Leadership Podcast.

The LLC contributes to public leadership teaching in the bachelor’s, master’s and honours programmes and provides postgraduate training for professionals.

Languages spoken around the world differ vastly from  the more familiar Indo-European languages. The courses in this theme aim to introduce you to the immense linguistic diversity still found in the world today. 

Almost all languages of Europe and of a large part of western Asia belong to a single language family, which is called Indo-European, and which includes modern languages like English, Dutch, Russian, Farsi, but also ancient ones like Ancient Greek, Latin, Hittite and Sanskrit.

If you are looking for additional challenges: the flexibility in our programme gives you the possibility to join the (International) Leiden Leadership Programme. Meet students from other faculties and broaden your knowledge even more.

Leiden University focuses on four leadership competences. We believe that connecting with both yourself and others is essential for good teamwork, taking responsibility and pushing boundaries.

Electives provide in-depth coverage of specific leadership theories and related skills. They offer students the opportunity to further specialise and deepen in specific aspects of leadership. This deepening is a valuable addition to the Essentials and Labs.

The master Education and Child Studies (research) is an intensive programme. However, if you are a highly motived student you can consider applying for the Leiden Leadership Programme.
