Michiel Hogerheijde new Programme Director at Leiden Observatory
Michiel Hogerheijde will be the new Programme Director of the bachelor Astronomy starting 1 October. The appointment is for four years. Hogerheijde succeeds Harold Linnartz who has held the position since 2018.
Ignas Snellen, Scientific Director of the Leiden Observatory: ‘I’m very happy that Michiel is joining our team. We have grown so much as a programme over the past ten years. Michiel has a tremendous amount of experience; he has been the chair of our education committee for many years.’
Harold Linnartz stays on as Programme Director of the master Astronomy.
