Throwback to the successful LANCE internship and job market
On December 1, the Faculty of Archaeology hosted the LANCE internship and job market 2022 for our BA2 and BA3 students. No less than 14 Dutch commercial archaeology firms and 13 faculty staff members informed some 170 students about the archaeological research projects they are carrying out.
Practical skills
The focus of the event was on practical archaeological and personal skills needed to participate in field projects, which skills students can train in projects, and also what skills are considered important by future employers in professional workplaces.
In addition, students could participate in speed dates with fellow students and with staff, asking questions about more personal experiences about particular internships and internships abroad.
At the interactive skills stand, in the form of a post-it wall, students could indicate which skills they already have, and which skills they would like to be working on during their further study career.
More than 170 students
With a number of more than 170 enthusiastic students attending the event, and having received a lot of positive feedback from the participating commercial companies, we consider LANCE 2022 a big success.
We would like to thank everyone involved to make this possible!
