KOG and Old University Library part of Amnesty International’s Rightswalk Leiden
Human Rights organisation Amnesty International recently set up a walk that passes by important locations in Leiden in relation to human rights. The Kamerlingh Onnes Building, home to Leiden Law School, has been included in the route.
Amnesty’s human rights art walk also passes by houses where former residents made an important contribution to the development of our rights.
Three works of art have been specially made for the walk, inspired by the locations where they are on display. In the garden of the Old University Library on the Rapenburg, you can view a work of art made by Emma van Noort. De Bakkerij has work made by Inge Reisberman, and finally at the Kamerlingh Onnes Building you can view work made by Izaak Zwartjes. All works of art will only be on display in 2021.
