In August 2021, Pádraig Corrigan, fresh from receiving his A Level results, began his studies at Leiden University College in The Hague. Enrolled in the Liberal Arts and Sciences: Global Challenges programme, he chose this degree for its English-language instruction, flexibility in tailoring majors and minors, and the unique living arrangements where students live and study in the same building. This setup fostered a close-knit, vibrant community and facilitated cultural exchange among international students. Additionally, studying in Europe offered more affordable travel options compared to Ireland. Despite the challenges of being away from home, Corrigan looks back on his experience positively, appreciating the lifelong friendships and opportunities it provided.
