Digital Archaeology Group
The Digital Archaeology Group (DAG) is an interest group based at the Faculty of Archaeology in Leiden.
We organise meetings varying in character, but the general aim is to offer archaeologists the opportunity to discuss the use of digital technologies in their research and to receive feedback on it from a community of enthusiasts. We also occasionally organise workshops that are intended to introduce the use of digital techniques or software packages to aid archaeological research.
Meetings are open to all students and staff of archaeology in Leiden, but we are very happy to welcome attendants from outside the faculty as well.
Meetings are currently held online due to Leiden University social distancing policies. In-person meetings will resume at the Faculty of Archaeology (Van Steenis building) in Leiden when possible.
We are always looking for people willing to discuss their experiences with digital archaeology, the introduction of new technology or simply to get feedback on their research in a low-key environment and happily invite you to contact us so we can schedule your talk.
