Start of 450th anniversary celebrations at Leiden Law School

On 6 February 2025 we will officially launch our faculty’s 450th anniversary celebrations. On this day, we will mark this milestone with two special moments. The first is Bonnie Honig’s visit to our faculty on the occasion of her honorary doctorate. On 6 February from 13.30 in the Grotius Lecture Hall, with Bastiaan Rijpkema as chair, she will discuss the defence of democracy with Ineke Sluiter, Matthew Longo and Jeroen ten Voorde.

The second moment will take place after the conversation with Bonnie Honig. This is a joint toast moment when we will raise a glass to a festive 2025 in the KOG restaurant at 16.00. This special anniversary is a celebration for and by all of us, an opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved together and what makes our faculty so unique.

We sincerely hope you will be able to join us for this festive launch. While raising a glass together, we will also reveal the plans we have in store for the coming year.
