As part of this Culture and Politics specialisation event, students will visit the International Criminal Court in The Hague. The tour will provide a general introduction to the work of the Court as well as the opportunity to observe first-hand official proceedings of the Court. It will also consist of a talk by representatives of the Court’s Public Affairs and Outreach Office. These representatives will speak about their use of narrative to raise awareness about the work of the Court, and about how they navigate cultural differences while working with victims and affected communities. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session, so students are encouraged to come with topical questions as well as questions related to career prospects and preparation.
