Did you know there is a Leiden institute in Morocco?
The Netherlands Institute Morocco (NIMAR) is part of Leiden University's Faculty of Humanities. In the information session, NIMAR staff members will give a presentation on the two education programmes offered by the institute: the minor Culture and Society in Morocco (start September) and Linguistic and Cultural Diversity in Morocco (start February). Aside from various lectures on Moroccan history, politics and culture, intensive Moroccan Arabic or Standard Arabic classes, and the ability to design your own research, a semester at NIMAR further includes several study trips to museums, NGOs and archaeological sites, as well as a five-day excursion to rural Morocco. In addition, students will be frequently invited to special events in cooperation with the Dutch Embassy in Rabat and have the opportunity to connect with Moroccan peers.
So, are you a student and does the above sound like an interesting adventure? Please visit our information session on April 9th!
