On 13 March, DisGover and We Care to Disgover open their doors in the afternoon to students with an ambition to innovate government or healthcare after graduation. This afternoon, the trainee organisations will take you through current and complex social issues. The afternoon starts with a tour, then there is a presentation about the two trainee programmes. After that you will experience what it is like to work as a trainee on a DisGover change management and We Care to Disgover care issue. The afternoon concludes with drinks where students can ask questions of current trainees from both organisations.
Who is the traineeship for?
DisGover's trainee organisation is for young academic educated people with an ambition for a career in government, as civil servants of the future. Since a few years, the subsidiary We Care to Disgover has also been established. The traineeship We Care to DisGover trains young university graduates over a time period of two years to become care innovators of the future.
What do you do as a trainee?
As a DisGover or We Care to Disgover trainee, you work weekly from Monday to Thursday at a government organisation. This could be a municipality, province or ministry, a safety region, the VNG or the Interprovincial Consultative Council. The assignments are always at the interface between process, people and a current social issue. Change management is central during the traineeship. Each Friday you will follow a training with us through Action Learning projects, knowledge sessions or workshops. During the entire traineeship, DisGover or We Care to Disgover will coach you on content, competencies and personal incentives.
Why a traineeship?
It is varied and good for your personal development; you work four days a week on an assignment and spend one day a week on training. After the traineeship, you will have gained relevant work experience to get started as a civil servant or healthcare innovator of the future. You will get to know different organisations in two years. You will get answers to questions such as: what can I do? What do I want? And what suits me?
