If you’re a Dutch or international student and you’re interested in law, international relations and European politics, this is the perfect trip for you!
We’re organising a day trip to Brussels – the city at the heart of the European Union – for students just like you.
What's on the agenda?
We’ll kick off the day with a visit to the European Commission, one of the key institutions of the European Union. Here, we’ll look behind the scenes at one of the EC’s largest departments: the Directorate-General for Competition. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the inner workings of one of Europe's most powerful political institutions.
Next, we’ll visit the world's largest law firm, Baker McKenzie. You’ll have the opportunity to network with top lawyers and learn about internatioal legal practice.
Practical information:
• Date: 29 February
• Departure: 7.30/8.00 depending on where you leave from. NOTE: you need to arrange your own transport!
• Expected return: back in Leiden by 20.00
• Price: roughly €35 (estimated transport costs)
• Included: entrance, lunch and snacks
• Bring: valid ID (this is mandatory) and money for personal expenses
