The LL.M. Inaugural Lecture Series is the flagship event marking the beginning of the academic year for the faculty and the master’s students of all the three LL.M. programmes of the Grotius Centre.
The speaker for this year is Her Excellency Judge Kimberly Prost, Judge of the International Criminal Court. Prior to joining the Court, Judge Prost was the first Ombudsperson for the UN Security Council Al Qaida Sanctions Committee. She has also sat as an ad litem judge on the ICTY in the Popovic case. Earlier in her career, Judge Prost worked for the Canadian Department of Justice for 18 years appearing before all levels of the Canadian courts, including the Supreme Court.
Students of the LLM (reg) programme on Public International Law, the LLM (adv) programme on Public International Law and the LLM (adv) programme on International Dispute Settlement will have an opportunity to engage in discussion with the Judge on her lecture and beyond.
