Kickstart your Career! 

Dear MA IR Students,

Are you in need of a little bit inspiration and orientation regarding your career possibilities after graduation? Or do you want to expand your current professional network? 

Then please join us for the MA IR Student-Alumni Career Networking Event 2022 on Friday, the 6th of May 2022 from 15.30-19.00 at Lipsius! 

During the event you will be able to meet MA IR alumni who will share their personal career trajectory and provide you with valuable advice on how you can best enter and navigate the current job market.

15.30-16.00 Arrival, Registration, and Information Update
Check-in and pick up of name tag and materials for students and alumni. i.e., program overview; students receive an extra sheet with potential questions they could ask alumni 
16.00-16.15 Event Opening & Introduction of Alumni
16.15-17.00 Panel Alumni discussion – Life since MAIR: From student to ‘professional’ 
Panel discussion on “Life since MA IR: From student to ‘professional’” led by two MA IR students on alumni career trajectory. Questions will focus on the current job market and its chances and challenges, how the MA IR program relates to current job, transferable skills etc. The last 15 minutes will be used for an open Q&A session. 
17.00-17.15 Break 
17.15-18.15 Career Workshops

Alumni are designated individual rooms in Lipsius. Here they will present their individual career trajectory and introduce their current employer in 20-30min. Specific attention is put on the question: What have been the biggest obstacles/issues alumni faced when they started their career and how did they solve them? The rest of the time is revered for a Question and Answer session. Please find below an overview of the alumni who will give a career workshop . To attend a career workshop please make sure to register for the event and sign in at Lipsius room 0.11 at the the day of the event between 15.30-16.00.

18.30- 19.00 Closing of the MA IR Student-Alumni Career Networking Event 2022 Career Services and Alumni Office will explain what they can do for students who are about to graduate or already graduated before MA IR students will make some closing remarks about the first MA IR Student-Alumni Networking event.
19.00-19.15 Break
19.15-21.00 Reception/Free Networking (At the Faculty Club)
Students and Alumni will have the opportunity to meet and mingle informally and ask and answer questions about careers and opportunities while enjoying some light refreshments.
