In this podium discussion, Indonesian writer Iksaka Banu will be interviewed about the ongoing relevance of the colonial past for understanding contemporary Indonesia. In his fiction he has presented possible answers to this question, and in this interview he will give his perspective on rethinking dominant narratives about the colonial past and their afterlives.
