The goal of this Career College is to inform you about the career perspectives. Alumni of Leiden University will present their career paths and their current jobs. 
Are you curious to know what it is like to work at an NGO? What kind of career paths are possible? What capabilities and characteristics are necessary? During this session there will be plenty of opportunity for participants to ask questions. 

After the CareerCollege, there is the possibility to have an informal talk with the speakers while enjoying a (free) drink!

The event will be held in English and is open to students and recent graduates of Leiden University.

Panel of speakers:

Anneli Groen
Anneli Groen works as a project support officer for Lobby and Advocacy at Save the Children Netherlands. She recently graduated from International Relations and Organisations at Leiden University and started as an intern at Save the Children. She will share her experience in working for a humanitarian aid and development organisation, as well as her trajectory from student/intern to employee. 

Daina Toleikyte
Daina Toleikyte is Head of Programme Partnerships and Grants at War Child Holland. Daina has been working on the boarders between different levels of institutions and countries for over 20 years and has acquired broad knowledge of international, national and local politics in different countries, bilateral and multilateral funding instruments, international co-operation, and has gained extensive experience in project and programme development, assessing/reviewing proposals, monitoring, implementing and evaluating programmes, financial management, reporting, analysis and evaluation.

Having worked with Oxfam, Aflatoun International, VNG International, the International Co-operation Agency of the Association of Netherlands Municipalities, Netherlands School for Public and Occupational Health, among other organisations, Daina has gained wide knowledge in such thematic areas as education, public health, institutional lobby and advocacy, decentralisation, regional development, citizen participation, municipal services, microfinance, fair taxation, food security, human rights, CSR, institutionalisation of innovative products and approaches.

Lily van Egeraat
Lily van Egeraat currently works as a Global Proposal Developer at War Child Holland, developing (multi)country project proposals for institutions and foundations. Having studied International Relations and Organizations at Leiden University and Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of St Andrews, she interned and worked at the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, the EU Rule of Law mission in Kosovo and the UN Migration agency (IOM) in Geneva, Libya and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Throughout her career, she has primarily been active in project/program development, reporting and monitoring & evaluation on thematic areas related to post-conflict recovery and resilience (i.a. community stabilization, youth empowerment).

Nindi Sitepu
Nindi Sitepu works as Senior Programme Officer at the International Department at Rutgers and completed her masters program in Health Psychology at Leiden University. Nindi has been working in the development sector for more than 10 years, focusing on themes of health equity, meaningful and inclusive youth participation, gender, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. Having worked in NGOs both in Indonesia and the Netherlands, Nindi has gathered experience in global programme and grant management, international and public policy advocacy, intervention design, partnerships, and capacity strengthening.
