BACK ON TRACK - training for international students

If you feel emotionally out of balance and you could use some support, join the Back On Track group training. In 6 weekly sessions you will learn more about your mental health and how to explore and tackle important topics such as: stress, negative thoughts, self image, anxiety and loneliness. All sessions are based on a cognitive behavioral model that through practical exercises will help you learn how to cope better with these problems in your future.

Teachers
Jessica Heemskerk  (Student psychologist) Nienke Jongejan  (Student psychologist) Maartje Verwaijen  (Student Psychologist)

‘The training was really helpful for me. What I really liked about this training was the sharing of tips, insights and personal experiences within the group. This gave me perspective and hope. I am now more aware of when I feel negative or anxious and I have gained tools to deal with this better. The group felt like a very safe environment, which made it easier for me to open up' .

Who can participate?

Students registered at Leiden University. It is important that you can be present at least 5 of the 6 meetings (preferably all 6).
If there are enough registrations (at least 4 students), the training can continue. The maximum number of students in one group is 10.

Registration

Students can register during a walk-in hour with a student psychologist. (if possible, book a walk-in hour with one of the trainers). Note: There may be a waiting period to participate in the meetings. If you have any questions about the training, please send an email to psychologen@sea.leidenuniv.nl
