17 April 2025

PhD candidates, bachelor's and master's students: this summer's Una Europa Student Project Incubator is your chance to develop real-world solutions to industry challenges. Work in interdisciplinary teams with students from across Europe to bring your ideas to life. Apply by 4 May to join the programme in Krakow, Poland from 13-20 July.

There are no tuition fees. Accomodation and meals will be provided. Grants are available to cover travel costs.

Is the Student Project Incubator for me?

We are looking for students and researchers who are interested in what it might be like to participate in and conduct research and development projects and would like to work in international and interdisciplinary teams.

The Incubator invites you to join an enriching experience where we can learn, collaborate, meet new people, and develop impactful research proposals together. You'll gain new skills, connect with others, and explore how research can be applied to real-world business challenges!

The Student Project Incubator Summer Programme welcomes applications from:

  • Undergraduate and master's and PhD candidates.
  • Preference is given to PhD candidates.
  • English language proficiency of B2 level or higher is required for effective participation in the programme.

How does it work?

To participate in the Incubator, you need to register and answer a few questions by 4 May.

Please note: AI tools may be used during the preparation process; however, your final answers must be your own work and not fully generated by AI.

You will be notified whether you have been accepted into the programme by 19 May. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application, whether they are accepted or not.

The Incubator will run from 13–20 July 2025 in Kraków, Poland. The programme will include workshops, meetings and lectures to help develop business cases, interdisciplinary group work, presentation skills and more.

At the end of the programme, participants will present their final proposals and plans to the wider Una Europa community and representatives of the business and corporate community.

What can I expect from the programme?

The course includes:

  • An introductory online session (3 hours in early June).
  • An intensive in-person program (5 days in Krakow, 13–20 July).

In addition, the Student Project Incubator Summer Programme offers a rich social and cultural programme, including visits to the Salt Mine and various facilities at Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie and a stay in the historic centre of the city.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate.

What is the cost?

There is no tuition fee. Accommodation and meals will be provided.

Additionally, Una Europa offers transportation grants for participants. For questions regarding travel costs, please contact Stinne Vognaes (stinne.vognas@helsinki.fi), Una Europa Project Coordinator, Helsingin yliopisto.
