Techtip: printing from all your devices
As a student, you will regularly need to print something during your studies. However, by no means everyone has a printer at home. You can copy, print and scan throughout the university using the so-called multifunctionals.
Printing from a university PC
- Make sure you have enough printingcredit in your account. You can recharge via the website of Webprint or via one of the pinpoints with your bankcard.
- Send a print request from the computer.
- Go to a multi-function printer (MFP) and log in using your LU-card or by manually entering your ULC-account details on the screen..
- Select the document you want to print.
Printing from your laptop, tablet, or smartphone
If you want to print from your own device, that is possible. With the programme papercut you can easily send printouts. The programme is available for Android, iOS, Windows, MAC OSX, Linux Ubuntu 22.04 en 24.04 and Linux Fedora.
- Choose your system and install the PaperCut app.
- Follow the instructions for your system.
- Choose the document you want to print. You will now be able to select the ‘LU card printer’.
Using a University printer
You can use the printers at different locations by logging in with your LU card or by logging in with your ULCN credentials. You can log in with your LU card by placing your card on the card reader of the printer.
Printen (=afdrukafgifte)
- 1. On the computer, open the file you want to print
- Click "file" > "print" or Ctrl + P
- Under Printer, select "LU-Card Printer" and click on "print"
- Go to the printer with your LU-Card
- Unlock the printer with your LU-Card
- Under "print issue" select the file you want to print
- Click on "start"
Copying
- Select "device access" after logging in.
- Select the desired settings
- Place your file on the glass plate
- Click on "start"
Scanning
- 1. After logging in, select "scan"
- Place your document in the document feeder
- Select "scan to email"
- Enter your information
- Select the desired settings
- Click on "start"
