Volunteers needed for Women’s Legal Advice Centre

4 March 2025

Much inequality still exists between women and men, even though every human being needs equal opportunities to achieve equal rights. Women also need different forms of support, due perhaps to difficult home situations, financial dependency, caring responsibilities and other factors. Finally, language and educational barriers can hinder their search for legal solutions.

For these reasons, the first Vrouwenrechtswinkel (Women’s Legal Advice Centre) will open in Leiden in April 2025. It aims to make legal advice more easily accessible to women. As a law student, you can help by contributing your legal knowledge!

Vacancy at the Vrouwenrechtswinkel in Leiden: Legal advisor (female student) for 6–8 hrs/week (Dutch required)

As a legal adviser, you will provide legal advice to women on a weekly basis during consultation hours at the Vrouwenrechtswinkel. Besides the ‘feel good’ moments you will experience by providing your legal assistance, you are offered valuable experience, training and career opportunities (with a volunteer allowance).

Would you like to be part of an enthusiastic women's team? Then apply fast by clicking below for more information!
