Wanted: musical students, staff and alumni for the Leiden Canal Concert

20 February 2025

Join the orchestra for a special edition of the Leiden Canal Concert to celebrate Leiden University’s 450th anniversary. The concert is on Sunday 6 July 2025.

The concert will take the people of Leiden on a musical journey through a variety of music styles. The orchestra will accompany all the guest artistes. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to play in the orchestra during this our jubilee year.

Leiden Canal Concert

The Leiden Canal Concert is a popular fixture in the Leiden calendar. Many big names have performed onstage over the years: from Wibi Soerjadi to Claude, and from Douwe Bob to Jochem Myjer. This year’s concert is part of Leiden University’s anniversary celebrations. We are assembling a large orchestra and are inviting students, staff and alumni to join in. Check out the Leiden Canal Concert on Instagram for more information.
