How can we improve our classrooms? Give your opinion
What would the ideal classroom look like in your opinion? Should the tables and chairs have wheels so you can move them into groups more easily? Should every desk have a socket for your laptop?
Leiden University is working on a 'cookbook' for classrooms. A practical guide with ideas on how to improve the educational environment when refurbishing or creating new classrooms. This might include, for example, the use of new digital tools and equipment. Or ideas about furniture, sustainability, accessibility, acoustics or lighting.
We need your input
On Tuesday 28 January 2025, we are holding a session in which lecturers and students can share their innovative ideas. During the session we would really like to hear your opinions about what works well - and what doesn't work. What would a classroom look like if it was completely up to you?
What are the benefits for you?
- Your opinions will have a direct influence on creating learning environments that better suit your needs.
- You will work together with lecturers and other students to come up with concrete solutions.
- You will be helping to future proof education.
Take part!
Want to join the session on 28 January? Or have questions about the project? Send a mail to cookbook@ufb.leidenuniv.nl. Your input can make a difference.
