Call for: storytellers at objects during ArcheoNacht
Do you have a passion for archaeology and want to share it with the public? Then seize the opportunity to be part of a unique event at the National Museum of Antiquities! For ArcheoNacht on Saturday, November 2 (19:00-23:00), we are looking for students who want to tell visitors about an object in the exhibition, such as the golden Peel Helmet or the sarcophagus of Simpelveld. You will stand by the object and engage visitors with its story. Does that sound exciting? Read on!
What do we expect from you?
- You choose an object from the exhibition. If you're unsure which object to choose but still want to participate, let us know, and we’ll help you.
- You are available from 19:00 to 22:00 (you won’t be at the object all evening; you’ll also have time to explore the program).
- You can present about the object in English or Dutch.
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
- You are invited to the crew dinner at the museum before the event, along with the other participants.
Young Underground Professionals
The programming for ArcheoNacht is organized by the Young Underground Professionals (Yuppen), a think tank of young archaeology and heritage professionals with a fresh perspective on archaeology and the public. During the evening, there will be interactive workshops, speed lectures, and many more exciting activities.
