Vacancy: student members for Programme Committees

The joint meeting of all the faculty’s Programme Committees meets for two hours, seven times a year, and provides advice to the Faculty Board. The composition of a Programme Committee (abbreviated in Dutch to OLC) is half students/half teaching staff . All degree programmes taught at the faculty are represented in a Programme Committee by one or more students.  Matters dealt with by the OLCs include the Course and Examination Regulations (OER), course and exam timetables, and the quality of our degree programmes. As of 1 November 2024, new student representatives are needed for some OLCs.  

We are currently looking for new student members for the OLC of the degree programmes: 

  • propedeuse juridische opleidingen en Criminologie
  • bachelor Rechtsgeleerdheid (2nd year)
  • bachelor Fiscaal Recht (2nd year)
  • bachelor Criminologie (2nd year)
  • master Rechtsgeleerdheid - Encyclopedie en Filosofie van het Recht
  • master Rechtsgeleerdheid - Ondernemingsrecht
  • master Rechtsgeleerdheid - Civiel recht
  • master Rechtsgeleerdheid - Staats- en bestuursrecht
  • master Rechtsgeleerdheid - Straf- en Strafprocesrecht
  • master Rechtsgeleerdheid - European Law
  • master Rechtsgeleerdheid - Public International Law
  • master Rechtsgeleerdheid - Financieel Recht
  • master Rechtsgeleerdheid - Arbeidsrecht
  • master Notarieel recht
  • master Fiscaal recht
  • master Jeugdrecht
  • master Law and Society   
  • master Criminaliteit en Rechtshandhaving
  • master Criminologie - Forensische Criminologie

It’s important in this role that:

  • You’re interested in education and teaching;
  • You enjoy having contact with lots of other students;
  • You have good communication skills;
  • You’re keen to represent fellow students in your degree programme’s OLC.

What does it involve?
Besides the joint meeting of the Programme Committees (7 x a year), three to four times a year you’re required to attend the meetings of your own OLC to discuss matters such as teaching evaluations and the Programme Report of your degree programme. As a student member on the OLC, you will be paid depending on the number of committee months. The appointment is from 1 November 2024 for a period of one year.
