The exams are coming up!

18 September 2024

It doesn’t matter if you’re a new student or a seasoned student, careful preparation for an exam starts with correct registration in advance and ends with showing your ID at the exam location. By following these simple steps, you can avoid last-minute stress and focus fully on passing your exam.

1. Register on time in MyStudymap
Make sure you register at least 10 days before the exam date. This is essential because if you’re late registering, often no exceptions can be made. So check your diary and register on time!

2. Check your registration in MyTimetable
By checking your registration in MyTimetable, you can avoid a nasty surprise on the day of the exam. You might think you’re registered for the exam, but perhaps an error occurred in the process. So if you want to avoid problems, double-check your registration.

3. Deregister if you decide not to sit an exam
If you’ve decided not to sit an exam you must deregister at least 10 days before the exam date. This is not only important for your own records, but also for the exam logistics. It means we won’t unnecessarily reserve a desk for you at the exam location.

4. Remember your LU Card and valid ID
On the day of the exam, you must bring your LU Card and a valid ID to show at the exam location. A valid ID is a passport, ID card or driving licence. Be aware that if you don’t have these documents with you, you won’t be allowed to sit the exam.

Good luck with your exams!
