LAST CHANCE: Making Impact with Research (5 EC)

How can you really make an impact with your research? That is what the Master Honours Challenge Bridging research and society for inclusive health and wellbeing (5 EC) is all about. You learn about the impact of research for communities and carry out a project in practice, working closely with healthcare organisations. 

After completing this challenge:

  • You have experience conducting a research project with partners in practice;
  • You have experience in applying participatory research methods;
  • You have insight into the implications of research for your target group, society and yourself;
  • Can you critically reflect on your role as a researcher, personal biases and ethical considerations;
  • Can present your findings in an inclusive way, both to academia and to society.

LAST CHANCE: Futures Thinking (5 EC)

Who wouldn't want to deal better with uncertainties and future developments? The Master Honours Challenge Futures Thinking provides you with tools to deal with the future resiliently. At the same time, you work with regional stakeholders and help them prepare for relevant future scenarios. 

After completing this challenge:

  • You have developed a Futures Thinking mindset;
  • You have built resilience and flexibility;
  • You can use your creativity to analyse future issues;
  • You can use design thinking to solve problems;
  • You are ready for future developments!

Why a Master Honours Challenge?

  • You meet and work with students of other disciplines, just like you would in the workplace. 
  • You may work with partner organisations and get a taste of what they value in professional life. 
  • You get to discover whether a work field or area of expertise suits you. 
  • You look into 'hot topics' and complex (societal) challenges.
  • You get to experience experimental education and learn new skills. Some examples of examinations: podcasts, pitches for stakeholders, documentaries, exhibitions.
