Apply now for a Bachelor Honours Class! All 3rd-year bachelor students welcome
What is a Bachelor Honours Class?
- You take an innovative 5 EC course and get a taste of a different discipline. Topics vary from healthcare to history, from law to language and from diplomacy to data science.
- You work with and learn from students of all faculties.
- You develop new skills, such as negotiating, creative writing, or life design.
You can choose from 20 different classes for the 2nd semester (of which 3 Dutch-taught). Places are limited, so apply soon! Deadline: 17 November.
Who can apply?
Do you have the motivation to take on an extra challenge? Third-year bachelor's students from all faculties are welcome to apply! No prior experience with honours education is needed.
Please note: The Bachelor Honours Classes are extracurricular courses and can't substitute any (elective) courses.
What classes are on offer?
For semester 2, you can choose from 20 courses, of which 3 are taught in Dutch. Check out the prospectus and discover what class suits you!
Questions answered in the classes are for instance:
- How to design your own life path?
- How to prevent polarization or tackle inequality?
- How did humans eat or play in the past?
- What are the boundaries of our healthcare system?
- What does the future of the EU look like?
Apply before 17 November
The applications for the Bachelor Honours Classes for the 2nd semester are open until Sunday 17 November 23:59 hrs.
You can apply via our online registration system (so not via uSis). During the registration, you will be asked to fill in your details and write a short motivation letter for the classes you would like to follow.
To ensure the small-scale nature of the education, there are a limited number of places available. Therefore, you can indicate a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th choice when applying. Selection is based on motivation. You will hear by e-mail whether you have been accepted, 3 December the latest.
