All software for your studies in one place
Starting this academic year, all the software you need for your studies can be found on the new software distribution platform: Academic Software. Please make sure you install the software you need for your studies before the start of the first lecture. Which software you need can be found in Brightspace.
What is Academic Software?
Through Academic Software, you can download and use most of the software required for your studies directly on your own laptop. In some cases, you may use software online via the platform, or you might need to install a software package.
Sometimes, software requires specific hardware to function optimally. These requirements are listed in Academic Software. You can find more information on the student website. Please note that some study programmes have additional specifications; check the study programme tab for your study on the student website.
What’s the difference with SURFspot?
Via SURFspot you can buy software such as Adobe and anti-virus software at reduced prices. But you can also buy various hardware, newspaper and magazine memberships or subscriptions to internet services. The difference with Academic Software is that with Academic Software you get access to the right software needed for your studies, with the correct version, without having to buy anything.
