Volunteer at the introduction weeks this summer
A new generation of students is about to start their student life and we need YOU to help give them a flying start during the introduction weeks! During these weeks, all kinds of fantastic events will be organised throughout the cities of Leiden and The Hague. Are you also looking for the summer experience of your life? We are looking for YOU to help make these events a success by becoming a volunteer!
Where can I help?
The HOP week is the introduction week in The Hague during which about 1000 international and Dutch students will get to know the city. What will they do? Visit embassies, enjoy a beach day in Scheveningen and of course, party at the associations in The Hague. The HOP is looking for crew, mentors, mentor committee memebers and media crew!
As crew you’ll help setting up an event, staffing the bar, driving a van or handing out meals. Mentors spend the week guiding their own group of students. The Mentor Committee supports the board recruiting, communicating and organizing all kind of matters regarding mentors and crew. As Media Crew you can make pictures and videos throughout the week. Also you will manage our socials.
What will you get in return? Access to all HOP events with a wristband, meals and drinks during your shifts and friends for life!

The Orientation Week Leiden (OWL) is the introduction week for international students who are new to Leiden. It is now in its 12th year and we are expecting around 1400 participants. The OWL takes place in the week before the start of the fall semester and we are looking for Guides (mentors) who would enjoy co-guiding a group of students around Leiden during the week or Crew to help out behind the scenes at fun events . Would you like to meet international students and help give them a good start in Leiden? Register now, either just you or together with a friend. The main language is English.
