Diversify ARCHaeology Fund: Call for Applications for 2024-2025
The Diversity Committee announces a new round of funding to assist a single project that contribute to diversifying archaeological practice in all domains, including classrooms, laboratories, museums, and the field.
Projects include, but are not limited to:
- organizing (guest) lectures and workshops,
- producing audio-visual material (e.g., short videos, infographics),
- connecting FdA’s diversity efforts with other faculties and organizations,
- testing community engagement and ethical citizen-science ideas,
- community building.
The committee is particularly looking for projects that would contribute to the diversity mission of the faculty.
Who can apply?
- Academic, visiting, and support staff with full-time/part-time contracts at the Faculty of Archaeology.
- Students at the Faculty of Archaeology; with an exception for the members of the Faculty Board, Faculty Council, and the Diversity Committee.

What is the funding structure?
The committee aims to fund a single project (max 1,500 Euros).
The evaluation committee will be composed as follows:
- Diversity Committee (one member)
- Faculty Council (one member)
- Faculty Board (one member)
The DARCH budget cannot be used for the following:
- conference/fieldwork participation,
- purchasing (digital) material: books, magazines, journal subscriptions, etc.,
- buying hardware or proprietary software,
- projects that aim for career development.
Project Deliverables
Following the final date of the project, the applicant(s) should provide a brief report (max 2,000 words) detailing the successes and failures of the project, but especially providing recommendations to the Diversity Committee, Faculty Council, and the Faculty Board.
