Stand as a candidate for the University elections 2023
The University elections will be held from 17 till 20 April 2023. You can submit your candidacy here on 21 and 22 March. As a student, you can stand this year for the University Council, all faculty councils and the LUMC Student Council. Would you like to represent the interests of students this year?
What do the participation bodies do?
The University Council, faculty councils and employee councils monitor how our university is run, give solicited and unsolicited advice and help decide on important issues. The University Council does this at the Executive Board level and the faculty councils do this at the faculty level. Read more about their work and how to contact them in the organisational guide.
Why stand as a candidate?
Not only does a role in the University participation bodies give you the chance to represent student interests, but it also ensures good management. In addition, it gives you the opportunity to develop your networking, negotiating, arguing and policy-assessment skills. And you will be first to hear about the latest developments at the University!
How can I stand as a candidate?
To stand as a candidate, you need to complete the necessary forms and submit them at the polling station. For more details on steps to take, see the ‘Standing as a candidate’ page. You will also find more information about the election schedule for 2023 in the organisational guide.
