Are you one of the new student members of the Education Committee Archaeology?
The Education Committee of the Faculty of Archaeology is looking for four new student members for the academic year 2022-2023. Do you want to help improve the curriculum of archaeology? Do you always passionately write course reviews at the end of the block? Do you think you have a unique perspective on education? Then this is the position for you!
What does the education committee do?
The Education Committee gives (asked and unasked) advice to the Faculty Board on educational matters, and guards the quality of our education. Students in the committee have the opportunity to share the student perspective to contribute towards the quality of your study programme. They deal with complaints and concerns of students, write reports based on the course evaluations, discuss points of improvement, and contribute to the teaching and examination regulation. The committee consists of four academic staff members and four student members, usually two bachelors and two (research) masters.
Why should you run as a candidate?
- Your unique perspective will act as the voice of the students of your program.
- You will receive professional training in order to prepare you for this task.
- You will help improve your program for yourself and the students to come.
- You will develop skills, such as argumentation, that are useful in your future career.
- It looks good on your CV!
