Are you a photographer, a painter, an illustrator, or a printmaker? Do you dabble in any other form of visual arts? Or are you perhaps a poet? LEAP, the Leiden Graduate Periodical of Culture and Society, is looking for you!

We are looking for original artwork related to the topic of nature to feature in the second issue of the journal, set to release in June 2022. We encourage submissions from all artists, regardless of experience or education in the art field. You are welcome to approach the theme however you like: whether your work is about the climate crisis or pristine natural landscapes, biology or the contrast between nature and technology, we would love to see your interpretation of nature!

Your work will be published in the physical and digital edition of LEAP. Keep in mind that the page dimensions are 176 x 250 mm (B5, margins of 32x32 mm), and that the physical volume will be printed in black and white.

Please submit your work, along with a 100-word biography and an optional 150-word description by the 22nd of April. You will hear back from the LEAP editorial board by the 6th of May. Submissions and questions can be sent to a.perazzetta@umail.leidenuniv.nl.
