Exhibition photographic oeuvre Alexine Tinne: free entry for students

The Dutch photographer Alexine Tinne was one of the first female photographers and can be regarded as a true pioneer in Dutch photography. Tinne was known for her modern, personal and inclusive photographs of nineteenth-century city life. The photographs Tinne took during her travels portray the people she met in a modern and inclusive manner.

Exhibition till 11 June

Leiden University Library and The Hague Historical Museum have curated an exhibition about the remarkable work and life of Alexine Tinne. Her oeuvre is exhibited in the Hague Historical Museum until June 11, 2022 (note: exhibition is closed 7 - 14 March due to replacement of the photos portrayed).

Free entry for students

Leiden University students can visit the exhibition free of charge upon presentation of their student card.
