Study associations
A study association is a good way to combine study-related activities with pleasure. Every faculty has one or more study association.
Many study programmes have their own study association. For more information take a look under the faculty tab, or speak to the administration of your study programme.
Study associations are for students from a particular degree programme and focus on the academic aspects of student life. Students who are members of a Study Asociation support each other during their study period at Leiden, and organise course-related activities, such as lectures, seminars, field trips or excursions.

Study Association Nieuw Nederlands Peil
Nieuw Nederlands Peil is a small, tight-knit association where everyone who studies Nederlandse Taal and Cultuur or Dutch Studies or follows courses from these bachelors can become a member. We are a very open and social association where there is a place for everyone. Within NNP it is very natural for students from all years to know each other and form friendships. This is partly due to the many occasions NNP organises to have a drink with each other. We also organise many other activities, like game nights, pubquizzes, a reading club, our Open Podium and an annual studytrip. NNP offers you the opportunity to get to know your fellow students and to challenge and develop yourself by for example becoming active within our activities committee or by helping to publish our own magazine De Hoogwater. In addition, as a member you get a ten percent discount on your study books. In short, if you are looking for fun times and you have a passion for the Dutch language, then join NNP and hopefully we will see you soon!
