Study associations

A study association is a good way to combine study-related activities with pleasure. Every faculty has one or more study association.

Many study programmes have their own study association. For more information take a look under the faculty tab, or speak to the administration of your study programme.

Study associations are very active and organise all sorts of great study-related activities, from debates and lectures to excursions and social drinks. What better way to get to know your fellow students? You will acquire a substantial circle of friends in no time at all. Highly recommendable!

Study Associations

B.I.L.

The study association B.I.L. (abbreviation for Bestuurskundige Interfacultaire vereniging Leiden), was founded in 1985. The B.I.L. is the link between the students and the department of Public Administration. The B.I.L. organises activities on a regular basis. These activities can be study related but the B.I.L. also organises social activities and studytrips.

You can find more information on Bilboard, the website of the study association.

International Student Associations

There are several International Student associations which are actively operating in Leiden. The different organisations have different aims. Some organisations are mainly focused on social activities while others are more active in networking, organising lectures etc.

More information on the International Student Associations can be found on the Leiden website on Student Associations.
