Printing and copying
Throughout the university you can print, copy and scan via multi-function printers (MFPs). To use them you will need a LU-card.
Printing from a workstation with computer
- Make sure you have enough credit on your account (see credit).
- Send a print request from the computer.
- Go to a multi-function printer (MFP) and log in using your LU-card or by manually entering your student account details on the screen.
- Select the document you want to print.
Printing from your laptop, tablet, phone etc.
- Make sure you have enough credit on your account (see credit).
- Choose your system in the table below and install the PaperCut app.
- Follow the instructions for your system (see table).
- Choose the document you want to print. You will now be able to select the ‘LU card printer’.

Credit
To use a multi-function printer you must have sufficient credit on your LU-card. There are two ways of loading credit onto your account:
- Via the Webprint website
- Via a PinPoint using your bank card

Refund of credit
- If you lose credit due to a printer malfunction, you can report it via this form.
- Do you have a balance greater than 3 euro that you won’t use any more? You can request a refund by completing this refund form. Refunds can only be made into Dutch bank accounts and a charge of 3 euros administration costs applies.

No printing via USB
For security reasons, it is no longer possible to print via the USB ports on the printers.

General printing at Leiden Observatory
As a student of the Astronomy bachelor's programme you will get a Leiden Observatory (STRW) account. This account allows for general printing at the Leiden Observatory. Poster printing at Leiden Observatory
Posters with a maximum size of A0 (84.1cm x 118.9cm) can be printed on appointment at Leiden Observatory. This service operates at a first-come-first-serve basis if enough material and manpower is available. Click here for more information and to plan your printing appointment.
