Belangrijke factor in uitzaaiing van borstkanker geïdentificeerd
Leidse onderzoekers ontdekten dat het eiwit annexine A1 een belangrijke rol speelt in uitzaaiing van borstkanker. Het reguleert de plasticiteit van cellen waardoor tumorcellen beweeglijk worden en kunnen uitzaaien. Dinsdag 23 maart publiceren ze hun resultaten in PNAS Online Early Edition.
