Inaugural lecture

Tineke Schutte made her debut as beadle at Maartje Schoorl's inaugural lecture on 29 April. A unique moment because she's the first female beadle in the history of our university.

The Faculty Club is an excellent place to celebrate an inaugural lecture or doctorate. If you are connected with Leiden University, you can use this unique location on Rapenburg for a stylish reception or dinner for your guests.

A web lecture in most cases shows a recorded lecture, often in combination with interactive slides or a blackboard. The lecture recording can be made available afterwards or streamed live for students who cannot attend the live lecture.
